About a session:

Sessions are held individually, in person or virtually. After the initial 2-hr session (for new clients) we can discuss whether Focalizing, Family Constellations or a combination are the best approach. All sessions after that are 1 hour. During each Focalizing session we will have a conversation about what you would like to work on, whether it is a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual issue. You could even have a Focalizing session just to explore the incredible inner knowledge that your body already holds and listen deeply to its messages. We will sit across from each other, you can close your eyes if you’re comfortable, and I will verbally guide you into that deep focus. It feels a bit like a meditation. The only thing you need to do is follow along with your body and report back what you are sensing or feeling or seeing. As you do, you will experience shifts and insights that are usually ignored in our busy modern-day lives. It is a powerful and simple practice that can bring much relief and healing, and remind us how wise and generous our bodies are, if we take the time to listen.

After a session:

Focalizing may energize you or it may take some rest to recover your energy, depending on the content of the session. It is powerful. You may feel shifts in how you carry yourself and what thoughts you notice. For some people it takes a few sessions to really listen to the body and be in touch with it, and this is alright and normal, particularly if there is trauma in your history. Please allow whatever comes up to emerge. During integration I encourage clients to have a therapist, healer, or a person close to them as a resource.
